GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Agreement
Subject to special written provisions issued by a person authorized to do so, these general terms and conditions apply to all obligations of Kasteel Doenrade represented by Kasteel Doenrade Operations BV.
These terms and conditions are stated on the Kasteel Doenrade website. As a result, they have been sufficiently brought to your attention. Tacit acceptance is sufficiently evidenced by visiting our premises or receiving our documents or services.
Payment terms
Our invoices are payable on the invoice date without discount. Individual guests must, under penalty of automatic cancellation, provide a credit card guarantee upon reservation. If the invoice has not been paid or has not been paid in full after 30 days, the guest shall automatically owe compensation of 5% on the invoice amount.
Interest and compensation are due solely by the fact of non-payment. Payments made after delayed payment will first be applied to interest and compensation, and only thereafter to the invoice price. Non-occupation of the accommodation made available, an incomplete and/or disputed stay and/or reservation and/or service by the guest can never serve as a pretext for a delay in payment. Any delay in payment gives the hotel the right to unilaterally and without compensation to the buyer cancel all existing and not yet executed agreements as well as to suspend any performance of ongoing agreements.
Description
The descriptions, dimensions and colours, as well as details of photos and/or drawings in quotations, catalogues, website, booking sites and social media are purely informative and never binding.
Check-in and check-out
The reserved accommodations are available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival and must be vacated by no later than 11:00 AM on the day of departure. If a guest with a guaranteed reservation does not show up by the indicated time, the hotel automatically has the right to charge the guest compensation equal to the price of the total reservation value, including any additional services requested.
Complaints
Any complaint concerning accommodation, goods and/or invoice must, as far as possible, be reported by the guest to the hotel as soon as possible during their stay, in order to give the hotel the opportunity to remedy the complaint immediately.
In any case, the complaint must be made in writing, under penalty of forfeiture, within eight days after delivery, service and/or invoice.
Force majeure
In the event of force majeure, unforeseeable events beyond its control and/or exceptional circumstances, the hotel reserves the right to accommodate the guest, without any form of compensation, in another hotel, if possible in the vicinity.
Damage
All damage caused by the guest, whether to accommodations, furnishings and/or otherwise, belonging to or at the hotel or belonging to third parties with whom the hotel maintains relations, shall be paid in cash without discussion, according to the hotel’s statement accepted by the guest, and no later than before the guest’s departure.
With regard to parking vehicles in the hotel’s car park and garage boxes, as well as in facilities belonging to third parties with whom the hotel maintains relations, it is agreed that the hotel is released from any liability, whatever the cause, including, without limitation, damage, theft and/or disappearance of the vehicle or the items attached to and/or located in or on it, as well as, for example, bodily injury to guests or third parties that may be caused by anyone/anything in these places.
Disputes
In any dispute, wherever the act, service or agreement takes place, only the competent court in the Netherlands shall have jurisdiction, exclusively in accordance with Dutch law. Bills of exchange or differing payment terms do not alter this jurisdiction.
The guest accepts these general terms and conditions at the time of reservation. The guest declares that they know, understand and agree to these terms and conditions, and also agree to comply with the customary house rules of the hotel establishment and the instructions provided to them by the hotel staff.
The hotel is entitled at any time and without notice to terminate the provision of hospitality services to a guest when the guest repeatedly violates the house rules, or otherwise behaves in such a way that order and peace in the hospitality establishment and/or its normal operation may be or is disturbed. The guest must then leave the hotel at the first request.
Tourist tax, accommodation contribution and parking
Upon arrival at Kasteel Doenrade, please take into account the following additional costs, which are not included in the room rate:
- A tourist tax of € 2.05 per person, per night will be charged.
- In addition, a service charge of € 3.90 per person, per day applies.
- Parking is available on the grounds of Kasteel Doenrade for € 12.50 per car, per day.
By booking a stay at Kasteel Doenrade, you agree to pay the above amounts during your stay.
General Terms and Conditions Events
Payment terms:
After acceptance of the quotation, a deposit of 50% will be requested, which must be paid within 7 days of the invoice date.
60 days before the start of the event, a second deposit of 50% will be requested, which must be paid within 7 days of the invoice date.
If acceptance of the quotation falls within 60 days before the start of the event, we will request one deposit of 100%, which must be paid within 7 days of the invoice date.
After the event, the remaining consumption must be settled on site before departure.
Cancellation terms:
Up to 60 days before the first arrival day, a maximum of 50% of the confirmed reservation value can be cancelled free of charge.
From 59 to 8 days before the first arrival day, a maximum of 10% of the remaining reservation value can be cancelled free of charge.
From 7 days until the first arrival day of the event, in the event of a no-show or earlier departure date, 100% of the remaining reservation value will be invoiced.
Other Event Terms and Conditions:
Changes in numbers can be communicated up to 30 days before the start of the event; a deviation of up to a maximum of 20% will be accepted free of charge.
From 29 days before the start, the full amount will be invoiced in the event of a change in numbers.
Unless otherwise stated, all quotations are subject to price changes.
Set-up or dismantling must take place within the time frame during which Kasteel Doenrade is exclusively booked.
If allergies and/or dietary requirements are not communicated before the start of the event, a surcharge of €20.00 will be charged for each adjustment that must be made last-minute.
Depending on the nature of any changes, additional set-up and dismantling costs may be charged.
Our general house rules apply to group reservations of rooms. Violations will be charged to the general account by means of a fine.
